The age-old quote that ‘a picture tells a hundred words’ is particularly true in the film sense. Film has the ability to move and inspire people more so than other mediums and as such can be used as an extremely powerful awareness tool, especially in the environmental conservation arena.
The majority of the work African Renaissance Productions produces is of an environmental nature, to date over 50 documentaries have been aired focussing on environmental conservation. The two current series on air are the Healing Power of Nature and Change
The main aim of African Renaissance Productions films are not only to entertain but to act as an instrument for promoting discussion and debate about key issues relating to the integration of conservation and sustainability. Importantly once the films are aired they are archived and used as valuable research material, especially in documenting the state of the environment at date of production.
Often broadcast films are never seen again, African Renaissance Productions has developed a distribution strategy for each property that ensure the maximum exposure. We are passionate about conservation and hope to continue to work with agencies, corporate, broadcasters and NGO's to continue to produce programming that affects change.
